Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists - North Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital. This role is ideal for ER technicians who thrive in high-acuity environments and value teamwork, strong medical standards, and opportunities to continue growing their skills.

What You’ll Do
As the Shift Leader, you’ll support high-quality patient care while guiding and supporting your team by:
- Overseeing hospital flow to ensure efficient, compassionate patient care
- Supporting veterinarians by executing treatment plans and ensuring continuity of care
- Delegating responsibilities to treatment and surgery technicians
- Assisting with emergency procedures, anesthesia, diagnostics, and surgeries
- Monitoring anesthesia and providing advanced technical nursing care
- Admitting and discharging patients, creating treatment plans, and discussing home care with clients
- Addressing client concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Training, mentoring, and assessing technician skill development
- Collaborating with leadership to develop protocols that improve efficiency and patient outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of emergency veterinary technician experience
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Advanced anesthesia monitoring experience
- Strong technical skills, including phlebotomy
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed veterinary technicians strongly encouraged to apply (LVT/RVT/CVT/VTS)
- Experience mentoring or leading teams
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
