- Assistant/Associate Professor-Clinical Track, Division of Physical Therapy
Description
The Ohio State University Division of Physical Therapy invites applications from dynamic and motivated candidates for a full-time, twelve-month, clinical faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor - Clinical. Join an innovative, highly productive and collaborative faculty, and contribute to the continued excellence of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
The majority of this position is teaching in the entry level DPT program. We seek candidates with physical therapy teaching and practice experience in one or more of these areas: neurology, geriatrics, clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis, pediatrics, or clinical education administration. While no person could fill all these needs, the ideal candidate would fill more than one. The position includes expectations of scholarship, and academic and professional service, consistent with the clinical faculty line at Ohio State. Thus, a record of accomplishments in research and/or scholarly activity, and in academic or professional service activities, is required. A possibility for a limited portion of time allocated to clinical practice can be negotiated.
The Division of Physical Therapy in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (HRS) is located in a large, vibrant academic medical center and research extensive university, offering extensive opportunities for collaboration and innovation. Our DPT program is among the best in the nation. Our students are remarkable and they experience a multitude of simulations, didactic and clinical experiences, along with opportunities for student specialization in research and practice. Our well-balanced faculty of successful scientists, master clinicians, and professional leaders are thriving in a highly collegial, dynamic, and collaborative environment. In collaboration with the school, our clinical faculty can be academic advisors for MS students and serve on PhD student committees. The successful candidate who joins our group will enjoy mentorship from national leaders in teaching, scholarship, professional service and clinical practice.
