Company Overview
CareSouth is one of the largest providers of home care business services in the country. Through its large, integrated healthcare delivery system, CareSouth provides cost-saving services to its patients and business services clients across the country.
The company’s corporate headquarters are located in Augusta, Georgia, and include a large data processing and financial services center.
CareSouth has two principal operating divisions:
operation and management of home health agencies owned by the Company and its equity partner;
and
management of and supply of business services to home health agencies owned by third parties.
The Company owns twelve Medicare certified home health agencies and manages three Medicare certified agencies for its private equity partner ("Affiliates").
Company History
Central Georgia Health System founded CareSouth on November 1, 1995 with the purchase of a large home healthcare company which had a successful 25 year history. Two distinct lines of business evolved from CareSouth's infancy. The first was the direct delivery of patient care and the second was the delivery of business services to others that owned homecare agencies.
In 1998 the executive management team working with a Washington, D.C. based venture capital group, Capitol Partners, LLC, acquired the company from Central Georgia Health System which enabled both of CareSouth's business lines to grow.
Today, CareSouth has two principal operating divisions:
operation and management of home health agencies owned by the Company and its equity partner;
and
management of and supply of business services to home health agencies owned by third parties.
The Company owns twelve Medicare certified home health agencies and manages three Medicare certified agencies for its private equity partner ("Affiliates"). These agencies are located in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and California, have 32 locations from which they operate, and generate approximately $52 million dollars in revenue each year.
The senior management team is led by Rick Griffin, President & CEO and John Southern, CFO.
