The Department of Radiology at Keck School of Medicine of USC is recruiting a full-time, fellowship-trained radiologist to join the abdominal imaging section.  The candidate will be appointed to a faculty rank commensurate with their experience/qualifications.  Applicants must be ABR board-certified, -eligible, or equivalent.

The abdominal section is composed of ten faculty members with broad expertise in all modalities and subspecialties.  The section has strong collaborative relationships with the various clinical divisions at the Keck Medical Center of USC, and Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, including transplant surgery, urology, gastroenterology, oncology, medicine and radiation oncology.

The department seeks individuals with a variety of skills and experience.  The applicant should ideally have experience in conventional radiography, CT, MR, US and basic abdominal interventions.

The faculty member will provide clinical services at the Keck Hospital of USC, Los Angeles County USC (LAC+USC) Medical Center, and Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.  A major strength of the position is the rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology and patient population throughout all the sites, which are conveniently located on a single medical campus adjacent to downtown Los Angeles.

There are extensive opportunities for research and other scholarly activities, both within the department and in collaboration with other departments. The department provides dedicated research infrastructure including a grants manager, study coordinators, and statistician support. The abdominal section has multiple active research projects with nearly $2.5 million in NIH funding.     A long-standing commitment to didactic and “at the workstation” teaching is a core value of the department which supports a highly competitive training program of 42 residents and 15 fellows.
