We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our estate planning and elder law practice in Camden, Maine. This position is ideal for an attorney who values meaningful client relationships, careful planning work, and a calm, predictable practice environment.
The Associate Attorney will meet directly with clients, draft wills, trusts, and incapacity documents, assist families with long-term care and Medicaid planning, and manage probate and trust administration matters. We provide training in all practice areas, including estate planning techniques, Maine probate procedure, and elder law strategies.
This role includes significant drafting, client counseling, and long-term professional development. Candidates should have excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism.

Requirements
Required: J.D. degree Admission to the Maine Bar, or eligibility for admission/reciprocity Excellent legal writing and analytical skills Strong professionalism and communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and maintain organized case files
Preferred: Experience or coursework in estate planning, probate, taxation, or elder law Judicial clerkship experience Experience working with families or in a client-facing practice area Interest in long-term growth within a small firm
