Position Summary 

This role, supporting the Beer Division's Supply Chain, will partner with numerous cross-functional teams to provide financial insight into business performance and to support the decision-making process for strategic initiatives. Specific areas of contribution include product costing, monthly management reporting and forecasting, annual budgeting, co-pack operations management, and ad hoc project support. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead cost accounting process for total division COGS (annual standard creation) and support the Master Data Management team in set-up and testing of new items and new locations 

  • Support third party co-pack operation ensuring inventory is correctly accounted for and service purchase orders are submitted in a timely fashion 

  • Support month-end close activities, including consolidation and processing of monthly and quarterly journal entries, correction of account coding errors, and resolution of system issues 

  • Lead migration of newly implemented SAP system from minimum viable product to best-in-class solution for product costing and inventory management 

  • Lead creation, production and distribution of stakeholder management reporting; reviewing results with business partners to provide variance analysis vs. annual plan and to proactively define potential risks 

  • Lead development of the monthly forecast, annual budget and long-range plan for transportation and warehousing expenses ($600 M), partnering with cross functional business partners to ensure financial estimates and targets appropriately reflect strategic initiatives and market conditions 

  • Support various ad hoc requests from the finance leadership team 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in business (Finance/Accounting), Economics or STEM.  

  • Eight to twelve years of relevant professional experience in Finance, Accounting or Consulting 

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Power Query/Pivot, Xlookup, Thinkcell) 

  • SAP S4 HANA & BPC experience 

  • System Adaptability 

  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written 

  • Strong financial acumen and demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability  

  • Highly motivated, change-oriented, and demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities 

  • Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to recognize opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies 

  • Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal supervision 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Professional experience in Finance or Accounting at CPG firm preferred, but not required 

  • CPG Experience 

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment 

  • Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  It also requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other equipment, reading, talking and hearing for extended periods of time.  

  • Travel Required: Must be flexible in work style and schedule: travel up to 20%.
