Barkfield Animal Hospital in Cumming, Georgia is seeking a compassionate, motivated General Practice Veterinarian (GP DVM) to join our growing, community-focused small animal practice. Position Overview
As a GP Veterinarian at Barkfield Animal Hospital, you will:
- Provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, medical, dental, and surgical care to canine and feline patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate clearly with clients
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries and dentistry (advanced skills encouraged but not required)
- Collaborate closely with a skilled technical and support team
- Practice medicine with clinical autonomy while maintaining high standards of care
- Build long-term client relationships in a trusted, local community hospital
- Option to provide in-home (house call) veterinary services for clients who prefer at-home care

Qualifications
- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Active Georgia veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
